Unidentified dead body found

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 15 (MExN): Dimapur Police today informed that an unidentified body of a non local man was found at Dimapur Railway Station, Platform 2 on November 14. A press release from the PRO Dimapur Police informed that an inquest was conducted over the dead body and the cause of death was ascertained to be due to illness. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur for post mortem examination/identification. The deceased was wearing black colour sweater and long pant with woolen blanket. Claimant/ relatives/ friends of the deceased have been asked to contact the Officer-in-Charge /GRPS, Dimapur.
 
GPRN/NSCN denounces defection rumour

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN):  The GPRN/NSCN on Sunday issued a statement denouncing the rumour that five GPRN/NSCN members led by one A Khampei Opeiham Konyak and Capt Nahjan Konyak had defected to the Yung Aung-led NSCN (K). The statement issued by the group’s MIP termed A Khampei Opeiham Konyak as a “habitual defector” who approached and sought to join the GPRN/NSCN in the month of October 2019.” However, in the light of his past activities and records, the same was denied and no sort of membership was either confirmed or accorded to him and his followers till date, it added. In the light of the news report, it stated that A Khampei Opeiham Konyak is neither a member nor a Kilonser of GPRN/NSCN but a habitual defector, who has least concern and value of the general Naga people’s aspiration. It also urged all concerned to first thoroughly ascertain their agenda(s) before incorporating the name of GPRN/NSCN in future. GPRN/NSCN further cautioned that any individual/group taking the name and maligning the image of the GPRN will be penalized as per their actions.

NSCN (IM) mourns demise

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the untimely demise of Horngathing Horam, Section Officer (SO), Ministry of Forest and Environment, from Sihai Khunou village under Wung Tangkhul Region on the November 14. He enrolled in the Naga national service on the November 19, 2004.  “He served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise. The void created by his demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in,” stated in a condolence message from the group’s MIP. For his selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifices for the Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all, the MIP stated, while conveying condolences to the bereaved family.
