
DMC notifies shopkeepers, commercial building owners
Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): Shopkeepers and commercial building owners under the Dimapur Municipal Council’s jurisdiction have been directed to undertake beautification activities in their establishments in view of the forthcoming festive season. In a press release on Monday, DMC Administrator Albert Ezung informed shopkeepers and commercial building owners to white wash their establishments along with painting their doors and shutters (preferably in blue) and also illuminate their establishments with low energy consumption bulbs by December 10.
NNC (PB) Lotha Region resolves
Wokha, November 29 (MExN): The NNC (Parent Body) Lotha Region on Monday, held a meeting at its Okying, Wokha Town, where it adopted “important resolutions in the interest of the Naga people and the future,” the group’s President Ekyimthung Patton stated in a press release. All Naga freedom fighter groups must come in peace and unity and make an acceptable resolution for the historical and political right of the Naga people’s freedom and sovereignty, Patton stated. The Government of India (GoI) cannot deny a permanent solution which is acceptable to the Naga people as a whole, basing on the Naga memorandum submitted to GoI and the world, nearly a century ago, it added.
CTYO cautions against ‘antisocial related behaviors’
Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) on Monday said that it would not tolerate any ‘antisocial related behaviors’ within its jurisdiction. In a press release on Monday, the CTYO stated that with the onset of the festive season, many instances of antisocial related behaviors including drinking in public places, substance abuse, rowdiness, intoxicated behavior, etc are being reported within its jurisdiction. Stating that it would not tolerate such behavior, the CTYO said that anyone found disrupting the peace and tranquility of the town would be dealt with strictly. Volunteers will be deployed to conduct checks regularly for the said purpose, it added. The CTYO also prohibited the sale of calendars, raffles, badges, lotteries, donations and others at exorbitant prices in its jurisdiction. Business establishments are urged to check its inventory for expired goods and refrain from selling any items beyond the MRP, it said, while adding that strict action will be taken against defaulters. It requested all citizens to celebrate the festive season responsibly and to wear masks at all social events to safeguard themselves, their families and others.
