Nagaland cop pens book on Forensic Science
Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): A book titled, "Hand Book On Basic Forensic Science" compiled and edited by UBI, John Mukho Phom, will be officially released by, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetso on October 26. The programme will be held at FSL office, Kacharigaon, Dimapur at 3PM.

Modern college holds National webinar Domestic Violence Act
Kohima, October 25 (MExN): The Modern College Kohima conducted National Webinar titled, “Implementation of Domestic Violence Act and Effectiveness Thereof” sponsored by National Commission for women (NCW), Government of Nagaland on October 24. The resource person for the webinar included Okram Kiranjit Singh, Advocate, High Court of Manipur, Imphal; Gracy Ayee, State Coordinator, State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), Kohima; and K Ela, Director, Prodigals’ Home, Dimapur. Sarah R Ritse, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland graced the webinar which was chaired by Wecheu Thahu, Assistant Professor.
NSCN (R) extends puja greetings
Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): The NSCN (R) has extended warm greetings on the joyous occasion of Dussehra and Durga Puja to one and all. “May this festival continue to bring about strong social bonding, oneness and peace… Through this festival, may good tidings prevail amongst all communities, tribes, sects etc,” conveyed a press note from MIP NSCN (R). Though the Puja is usually celebrated with great fanfare and gaiety large gatherings and mass celebrations cannot be held due to COVID-19 however, people can always continue to have 'emotional attachments' by extending wishes and greetings, it said.
NASU 2nd Union Assembly
Kohima, October 25 (MExN): The Northern Angami Students' Union’s 2nd Union Assembly will be hosted by Tuophema Village Students' Union at 11:00 am on October 31. NASU informed in a release that the attendance of all unit Presidents and General Secretaries are mandatory at the assembly. All SOPs pertaining to COVID-19 issued by the Government will be strictly followed throughout the entire duration of the session, it added.

Apropos to the news item, ‘Bailing Machine Unit inaugurated in Wokha’ published in the October 22 issue of The Morung Express, the ADC and Administrator Wokha Town Council (WTC), K Mhathung Tsanglao has informed that the Directorate of Municipal Affairs, Kohima also provided excavator (JCB) to the Council.
