Longleng RMSA teachers demand pending salaries
Longleng, October 9 (MExN): The 2016 batch of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (RMSATA) Longleng Unit has demanded the district authority to immediately release the two months pending salary. It said that the teachers have been fighting the dreaded pandemic silently despite not been paid for seven months now. “Though the salary was released in the month of August by the directorate however, the district Authority Longleng failed to release the same,” the association said in a press release on October 9. Lamenting the “negligence and lackadaisical attitude” towards the teachers, the association alleged that they were being discriminated. It demanded the district authority to immediately release the pending salaries, failing which “the teachers shall be compelled to take its own course.”
Dr Murry Clinic sealed for 48 hrs
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority and Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan has notified the temporary sealing of Dr Murry Clinic and Diagnostic Centre, located at Khermahal Police Point, Dimapur for 48 hours, with immediate effect. An order from the DC informed that the containment measures have been taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Any person violating the containment measures will be liable to be proceeded as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under Section 188 of the India Penal Code, the DC cautioned.
Building in Longleng sealed
Longleng, October 9 (MExN): In view of the detection of COVID-19 positive person residing at Judicial quarter, Leinak ward (Noklangkong) in Longleng, the building has been sealed for 48 hours in order to contain the spread of the disease/ infection and for necessary contact tracing. A DIPR report on October 9 informed that all movement of persons/vehicles in the sealed area is strictly restricted/prohibited and under active surveillance with effect from the date of sealing.
NPF working committee meeting on October 12
Kohima, October 9 (MExN): Naga People's Front President Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu convened a meeting of the party working committee on October 12, 11:00 am at the central office headquarters in Kohima. In a press release on Friday, the party President requested all working committee members to attend the meeting without fail. Standard operating procedures (SOP) on COVID-19 shall be strictly followed, he added.
DNNRE executive meeting postponed
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The Dimapur Nkonjan Nyiro Range Ekhüng (DNNRE) executive committee meeting convened on October 10 has been rescheduled to October 17. A press release from the DNNRE Chairman Chiporao Ngullie and General Secretary Sacheo Ezung stated that the meeting has been postponed due to some unavoidable circumstances. The meeting venue and time will remain the same, the release informed. As notified earlier, all the executive members, village representatives, DBs, GBs, officers, Reverends and pastors and elders of the DNNRE have been requested to attend the meeting. The DNNRE also reminded the village representatives to collect the yearly membership fee and welfare fund for 2019 and 2020 and submit the same during the meeting without fail.
COPU to visit Wazeho MCP
Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Undertakings (2020-2021) will conduct an ‘on-the-spot verification’ to study and assess the status of the Mini Cement Plant (MCP) at Wazeho on October 28 to 29. A press release from NLA Commissioner and Secretary Dr PJ Antony informed all members of the committee have been requested to make it convenient to join the visit.
