Watsu Mungdang mourns Temsula Ao

Mokokchung, October 13 (MExN): The Watsu Mungdang has expressed grief on the demise of Dr Temsula Ao, who had been the voice in promoting the lives of Nagas to the world through her contribution in literature and education. “Today we have lost an extraordinary woman, a role model who had the vision, determination and skills of great leadership. Her lifelong dedication in her literary works and serving the people in different capacity with great passion and energy will continue to inspire generations of young people,” it stated in a condolence message. 

Kisan Mela-cum-exhibition sales day at Longleng

Longleng, October 13 (MExN): Horticulture Department Longleng organized Kisan Mela-cum-Exhibition and Sales Day under MIDH 2020-2021 at District HQ on October 13 at public ground Longleng. Seven vegetable-growing Villages from different blocks were invited to participate in the event. During the inaugural programme, Trongdipa Tongpi Sangtam, SDO (Civil) Longleng acknowledged the Department for various farmer-oriented activities initiated in the district and encouraged the farmers to be more sincere, and make use of all the available resources. Earlier, Talimeren, DHO Longleng welcomed the gathering while Ango Phom and Wanmei Phom from Yongam and Tangha villages respectively gave a short speech on behalf of farmers. Fresh and Organic local farm produces were sold in the exhibition stalls during the day-long programme.
