ACCC 14th Southern Angami-1 to support Seyievilie
Kohima, October 23 (MExN): In view of the fourth coming bye-election to the 14th Southern Angami-1 leaders met on October 22 and the meeting unanimously resolved to support the Seyievilie Zazhümo Peter, independent candidate. “The party firmly believes that Seyievilie will take the constituency and it is people to a new height, if elected. The Congress party wishes him best of luck and resounding success,” ACCC 14th Southern Angami-1 President Kevithutof Meze and Vice-President Mezhülhou Linyü stated in a press release.
New traffic rules within Wokha town
Wokha, October 23 (MExN): Superintendent of Police, Wokha has notified that new traffic regulations to be implemented with effect from October 26 till further order. It stated that there will be no entry from Nepali Baptist Church junction towards PWD junction; No entry of vehicles from Assam Rifles camp junction towards daily bazaar; One way entry from PWD junction towards Assam Rifles camp junction; and No Parking from main Police Point (Clock tower) till Estuchuka junction (Below DC Office). The timing for the enforcement will be from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.
NIDC sealed office for 48 hours
Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC & Chairman DDMA, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has ordered the temporary sealing of Nagaland Industrial Development Cooperation Limited (NIDC), Office Dimapur for 48 hours with immediate effect till further order. DC states that any person violating the contentment measures will be liable to be proceeded as per the provisions of Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
NSDU annual general meeting on Oct 30
Kohima, October 23 (MExN): The 26th annual general meeting of the Nagaland Secretariat Drivers Union (NSDU) will be held on October 30 at the Red Cross conference Hall at 10:00 am. Therefore, the Union President Tsubou Metha has requested all the government officials in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat to allow their Drivers to attend the meeting without fail.
