Nagaland Literature Boards meeting
Kohima, October 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Literature Boards (ANLB) has informed the office bearers and chairman of all the Constituent Tribal Literature Boards to attend the consultative meeting on October 27 at Directorate of School Education Conference Hall, Kohima at 11:00 am. ANLB president, Dr Ditsolo Kapfo and Information & Publicity Secretary Lienkhohao Chongloi has requested all to attend the meeting without fail.
DC Peren informs on property compensation
Peren, October 25 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar IAS in a public notice, has stated that payment of property compensation in respect of Ngwalwa Village (Package-IV) from design Km 163+592 to 160+05 has been made. Therefore, all property owners have been directed to vacate their properties to enable the execution of works.
Mini Hornbill Festival at Tening on Oct 30-31
Peren, October 25 (MExN): Liangmai Council Nagaland will be organising the Zeliang Tribal Festival of Chaga Gadi & Lamsimngyi cum Mini Hornbill Festival at Tening Town, Peren on October 30 and 31 with the theme ‘Rekindling Our Culture.’ Temjen Imna Along, Minister, Technical Education & Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland will be the Special Guest and Namri Nchang, Advisor, Water Resources Department, Government of Nagaland will be the chief host of the festival. The Liangmai Council Nagaland has extended the invitation to all the citizens of Peren district, in-laws, tourists and Nagas from all tribes to come and join the celebration.
Shamator AR distributes wheelchairs
Shamator, October 25 (MExN): Shamator Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) /HQ 7 Sector AR distributed Wheelchairs and blankets at Choklangan village, Noklak district of Nagaland on October 23. The Team from Company Operating Base Choklangan has made a relentless endeavor to assist and provide for poverty-stricken villagers of Choklangan. In the efforts, they were able to reach out to a few elderly in need of wheelchairs and blankets.
