DMC informs relocation of RSF branch effective October 1

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has announced that its Residential Sanitation Fees (RSF) branch will be shifted from the old office at Kalibari Road to the new DMC office located at the IDAN Building, Forest Colony, Dimapur.

An official release said the change will take effect from October 1, 2025. All Colony GBs and Chairmen under the DMC have been directed to deposit the RSF receipt books at the new office in Forest Colony.

The DMC has requested all concerned to take note of the relocation and comply with the instructions.

Niuland DPDB meeting on Sept 24

NIULAND, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S. Jamir, has convened the monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting on September 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland. All DPDB members have been requested to attend the meeting positively, officials said.


Block-level orientation programme held at Mon

MON, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): As part of the ongoing Aadi Karmayogi Programme, a Block-level Orientation Programme under Mon district was held at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mon, on September 19. EAC Mon Hq. and Nodal Officer for Mon district, Er R. Mhao Humtsoe, gave a brief explanation of the programme’s initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to reach the grassroots level. He highlighted the importance of the Abhiyaan as part of the DA-JGUA Vision, its overview, vision, and core objectives. He requested all VDB Secretaries to cooperate with Block-level Officers during their visits and data collection in villages. He also elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of Block Master Trainers.

ADC Longleng issues vehicle restrictions at public ground

LONGLENG, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner Longleng, Alongdhimen Jamir NCS, has issued an order to ensure public safety, maintenance of public property, and proper use of the Longleng public ground. The order, effective immediately, prohibits entry and movement of all vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, and driving practice inside the ground. Vehicular entry and exit must be routed only through designated sideways identified by the local administration.

The order applies to all individuals, departments, institutions, and agencies, including private, commercial, and government vehicles, unless prior written permission is obtained from the office. Violations will attract penal action under relevant provisions of the law, including fines, vehicle seizure, and other measures deemed appropriate. The public ground is reserved for sports, recreational, cultural, and official government functions. The order will remain in force until further notice, with any relaxation to be notified by the office.
