The Nagaland University Students' Union Kohima Campus, Meriema along with the NUEU (KC) held a Candlelight Vigil on December 6 in solidarity for the lost souls at Oting Village under Mon District. The service was organized with the belief that no stones would be left unturned in bringing justice for the lost souls. The students emphasized on, "Justice and not Revenge," "Togetherness" and "Peace."

National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), Manipur unit observed a candlelight vigil in front of Western Gate of Kangla Fort in Imphal today evening for the victims of Oting incident. At the concluding part of the vigil, leaders and members of the state unit of the NPYF shouted slogans demanding repeal of Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFPSA) from the North East region. While shouting “demilitarize northeast”, the participants also shared their pains of the bereaved families of the Mon district victims.
