Modern College Kohima organized its annual fest 2021 with the theme “Blended Vivacity” on November 19. Alumni of Modern College Kohima, Arenchenla Walling and Maongtemsu were the special guest. The fest was graced by Sister Gracy Lamkang of BA 3rd Semester and John Besii, Administrator said welcome address. The best ethnic wear were Atsulsa of Class 11 Artsin women category and Zasivolie Keyho of BA 1st Semester. BA 3rd Semester won the annual fest folk song competition, Leivang of BA 3rd Sem won the singing competition, Phamsa of BA 1st Sem won the dance competition, Chingak of BA 3rd semester won the photography. District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Dimapur in commemoration of Child Rights week from November 14 to 20 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav organized a programme on November 19. The programme was chaired by Moajungla (LCPO), invocation by Husheli, child counselor, introduction on Child Rights by Esther Po (ic), vote of thanks by Arenla C Phom Po (Nic) and benediction by sister Florence from Chavara Children Home. All together 35 participants from Child Care Institutions participated in various activities included drawing, poetry and essay writing competition according to age group.

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Phek observed weeklong World Toilet week, organized by DWSM PHED Phek and sponsored by WSSO PHED Kohima. Cleanliness drives were conducted at Government High School, Sohomi village on November 16 and Good Shepherd School, Pholami village on November 17, followed by cleaning of Anganwadi centres at Phek village on November 17. On November 19, painting competition and cleanliness drive was carried out at Government High School, Akhegwo village.

Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office, Nagaland celebrated Azadika Amrit Mahotsav at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur. It was inaugurated by Tokheho Yepthomi, MP (Lok Sabha). Food Secretary, Director and Additional Director of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department were also present. K Tonsing General Manager (Region) made a presentation on the work of FCI in Nagaland during the pandemic. FCI Nagaland has the storage capacity of 57627 MT and at present it is has a stock of 52010 MT. During the pandemic, PMGKAY-I, II, III, IV phases with 21070.305 MT, 34006.175 MT, 14046.870 MT and 35117.175 MT. Food grains were issued to state government free of cost. During the event, videos of the recently inaugurated FCI Food Museum at Thanjavore, FCI Procurement Operations, Loading–unloading operation & Technological Advancements in Storage facilities like usage of SILOS etc were shown. Huge quantity of IMFL which were seized by Mokokchung Police on different occasion was destroyed on November 18.
