The Wokha District Administration, DLCW-Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) in collaboration with Department of Health and Family Welfare under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) celebrated Girl Child Day across seven ASHA blocks namely Ralan, Wozhuro, Bhandari 1 & 2, Sanis, Chukitong and Wokha Sadar on March 19. NSRLM Angjangyang Block Mon conducted Thematic training for FY 2020-21 covering seven villages namely Ukha, Yakshu, Khenjenshu, Changnyu, Yonghong, Yaphang and Yei villages, from March 5 to 18. Social Welfare (Rural) Project in convergence with Health and Family Welfare and School Education conducted Anaemia screening camp as part of Poshan Pakhwada activity at Wellness Health Centre Diphupar B Dimapur. Altogether, 78 adolescent girls from Government High School Diphupar B participated in the programme where sanitary pads, face masks and IFA syrup were also distributed to all the students.
