Commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence, students of DPS Dimapur from Classes IV to IX and XI participated in ‘Letter to Prime Minister’, a postcard writing campaign on the topics ‘Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle’ and ‘My Vision for India in 2047’ on December 10. This postcard campaign is initiated by the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, GoI as part of the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav. Training on ‘cultivation practices of bio-fortified maize’ under DBT sponsored project on ‘Popularization of Bio fortified Maize Hybrid in Himalayan States & Central India with special reference to North Eastern Region for Sustainable Nutritional Security’ was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Peren District in collaboration with ICAR Nagaland Centre at Mhainamtsi village on December 4. Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima, celebrated its 9th graduation day on December 10. The 75th year celebration of Japfüphiki Baptist Khriesarüü Krotho (JBKK) was held from December 3-5 last. The celebration was hosted by Kezo-Town Baptist Church under the theme “Praise be to His Glorious name” (Psalms 72:19). The speakers for the programme included: Dr Villo Naleo, Academic  Dean, Shalom Bible Seminary, Kevilhouleu Suohu, Youth Director, Angami Baptist Khriesarüü Krotho (ABKK); Dr Rukuovilie Sachu, Pastor, Khedi Baptist Church; Kehovi Tase, Executive Secretary, JBCC and Rokovilie Zashümo, Pastor Phesama Baptist Church. The praise and worship was led by Viswema Baptist Khriesarüü Kehou. The celebration was marked by solo and group song competition.
