Organised by Jal Shakti Team, Dimapur Government College (DGC) observed World Water Day 2023 under the theme, ‘catch the rain where it falls, when it falls.’ After a short programme on creating awareness on the theme, the Promenade was flagged off from outside The Morung Express office and the walk culminated in the College campus. Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) under ‘Morung Project’ observed World Water Day at Sacred Heart Hr Sec School, Chizam village under Phek District on March 22. The event was briefed by Regional Coordinator, Tshekulhi Aku Thopi who spoke about the significance of the day. To mark the occasion, several competitions such as model exhibition and presentation on water conservation, sketching and costume display competitions were also organised.


PHED Mon division celebrated World Water Day at Pinnacle School, Totok Chingnyu village, Mon Block on March 22.


Muralimohan D, Chief Manager, Regional Office, Kolkata, inaugurated a water purifier installed at Peace Centre, Chümoukedima on March 22. The inauguration of the water purifier which is a CSR initiative also marks the commemoration of International Water Day. Samudrajit Gogoi, Manager, South Indian Bank Dimapur branch, Rev Fr Mathew Thuniampral, Governing Board Member, NEISSR, Dr Fr C P Anto, Principal, NEISSR and Director, Peace Channel, Rev Fr Khing, Vice Principal and NEISSR students were present for the programme.
