DMI St Joseph Global School celebrated KG Graduation Day for the UKG students of academic year 2019-2020 on March 25 at the school auditorium. Alaknaro, HOD History, St Joseph University, Dimapur was the chief guest at the programme. The new Administrator Rev Sr Rosa Mary was introduced to the parents on the occasion. Mementos were presented to the KG Graduates by Chief Guest, Rev Administrator and the school Principal.

The District Tobacco Control Cell, Zunheboto handed over certificates to Lizu Aviqato village, Government College Zunheboto, Government Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, GMS , Old Town and Seven Home School for adopting tobacco-free guidelines of the National Tobacco Control Programme. The certificates were handed over by Zunheboto DC Peter Lichamo who encouraged the team to strictly enforce the guidelines especially around the schools in order to protect the school children. The 73rd Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) 2nd session under the theme ‘Patriotism and Peace’ was held with MLA 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire Yangseo as the guest of honour at Iponger village under Pungro sub-division on March 25. Chairman NBRM, Thronghokiu and former MLA, R Tohanba attended the session. Monolith Khianji was inaugurated during the session. Traditional songs and dances were other highlights of the celebration. The first established of Catholic Church Kidima village community by Jesuits mission amongst North East India visited Eden Gardens cum Children Home Khuzama as part Lenten season for love and sacrifice on March 24. The Children Home has 261 children at present.

Anaemia camp for adolescent girls cum cooking competition was organised by Social Welfare Department, Zunheboto in Tokiye block on March 23. CDPO Tokiye block, Vizheto Shohe delivered the keynote address. Tokiye PHC, staff nurse, Kaniho spoke on identification of adolescent and nutrition. The programme was chaired by Kakishe T Block Coordinator, invocation was pronounced by Tohoni Anganwadi worker and vote of thanks by Kakishe T.
