Under the aegis of the District Health Society, Zunheboto, the CMO office Zunheboto conducted a two-day Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp at Satakha PHC and Ghathashi PHC in Zunheboto district on March 27 and 28. The medical team was led by Dr Heto Swu, District Programme Officer (UIP & RCH) along with Dr Kapfo, Sr Specialist Obstetrics & Gynae DH, the medical officers of the respective block and health units, Dentist, DPMU staff, RBSK & MMU team, BPMs rendered their services to the public. Altogether 487 people availed the free medical services including sterilization-13, IUCD-7, ANC-12, NCD screening -139, Dental-55, MTP-4, laboratory test. To strengthen healthcare facilities and take healthcare to the doorstep of the public in rural areas, a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp was conducted in Lalong on March 28. The camp administered 123 OPDs, lab services like blood sugar, 4 Malaria test, 8 sputum collections and PTK test was done. 43 CMHIS cards were generated, 6 Routine Immunization, one dental, 10 NCD, 13 Obs and Gynae (6 ANC) and 10 refractive error cases were carried out. The team was led by Dr K Limatula Ao, CMO, Dr Lanuakum, Dy CMO, Dr Supongmenla Walling, DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr G Viholi Sema, ZLO, Dr Keholi Sema, DTO, Dr Hedungkiebe, DSO (Opthalmic) Dr Denis H Chingpen, SMO (Obs and Gynae) DH, Peren, Dr Nuksung, MO, Tening CHC, vertical programme staffs, Pharmacist, Lab Tech, Nurses, ASHA and AWWs. Under the initiative of District Health Society, Mokokchung, a RCH Outreach camp was conducted at CHC Changtongya, Mokokchung on March 28. The medical team led by Dr Takosunep, DPO(UIP &RCH), Dr Imlisenba Lemtur, Pediatrician IMDH, Dr Supongmeren Obs & Gynae IMDH, Mokokchung along with Medical Officers of the CHC Changtongya provided services such as Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Family Planning methods and other medical ailments. A total of 116 beneficiaries availed the free medical services provided. 78 Bn, CRPF purchased nine Solar Street Light (LED based) with iron poles under Civic Action Programme which were formally handed over by WR Josuah, Comdt 78 Bn to the Chairman and village council members of Kachrigaon (Phevima), Dimapur in a Civic Action Programme organized on March 28 in the village Panchayat hall. It was attended by officers and men of 78 Bn, CRPF, village council members and the host villagers. 78 Bn CRPF donated academic Text books (11 Sets of books, Total 72 Books) for BA Arts Stream as per Nagaland University syllabi for the college library of Japhu Christian College (JCC), Kigwema, Kohima.  The books were formally handed over to JCC Principal by Bijender Kumar, 2nd-in-Command, 78 Bn CRPF in the presence of officers and men of 78 Bn CRPF, college staff and students in a Civic Action Programme organized on March 29 in the college Auditorium.

Regional seminar and workshop was conducted by College of Nursing, CIHSR on March 9 and 10. Gihukali Chishi shared her knowledge on components of IPR; Kekuneil Ltu on IPR in health care and academia; Dr Gitumoni Konwar, Dean, School of Health Sciences, The Assam Kasiranga University presented on current challenges in nursing research and exploring qualitative research in nursing; Bendngmenla Ao, Professor of Nursing and Nongozonuo Khape, Associate Professor of nursing on legal & ethical issues in research, and innovative approach in clinical research respectively. Altogether, 195 participants from Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland attended. Workshop funded by ICMR, New Delhi was attended by 44 people on March 10. The topics were writing manuscript for publication, and research critique by Dr Christy Simpson, Professor of Nursing and Emi Humtsoe, Professor of Nursing respectively. 



A two-day spiritual awakening retreat was held at Christian Model High School, Wokha on March 24 and25 with speaker and worship team from Sinai Ministry and counselors from the 8th batch of Go Revival School for Missions (GRSM).


Department of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C) held an introductory meeting with Advisor, IT&C, Economics & Statistics and Evaluation, Sethrongkyu in the Directorate of IT&C, Kohima on March 29. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, IT&C and Power, Dr KD Vizo, chaired the programme, Director IT&C, Er Tongtiliba Longkumer delivered the welcome address and presentation on various activities of the department was highlighted by Program Officer, Er Akumla Aier. Advisor Sethrongkyu encouraged the officers and staff and said that it is not the numbers but it will be the competency of the officers and staff that will take the Department forward to reach greater heights. Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) made his first official call on the Governor of Nagaland,  La. The Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (Konyak Baptist Churches Association) ordained Y Thrangmo Konyak for Christian Ministry at Mission Centre Baptist Church, Mon on March 26. Rev Y Thrangmo Konyak is the “first woman to be ordained by the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB),” stated an update received here. On behalf of the Ordination Council of KBBB, Rev T Honlong Konyak ordained Rev Y Thrangmo Konyak. On record, Rev Y Thrangmo Konyak is also the “First Konyak Woman Deacon of Baptist Church” (Mission Centre Baptist Church, Mon). She is the wife of Mankang, who is teaching at Mon Theological College.
