Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) conducted an alumni meet for the former trainees, who have been successfully employed after undergoing training in various trades at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUG-GKY) centers empanelled with Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission. The meet was held at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima on December 14. DDU-GKY is the demand-driven placement-linked skill training initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (MORD), Government of India. Award distribution ceremony to felicitate the winners of the essay competition on ‘Relevance of Gandhi’s thoughts for building a peaceful and prosperous Nagaland’ was held on December 14 at the Deputy Commissioner's office, Dimapur. The first and second prize winners were Aoli Awomi from Assisi Higher Secondary School and Muwala, from Lorna’s Higher Secondary respectively. The awards were given away by Temsuwati Longkumer, ADC Dimapur with exhortation by Kisheli, Senior District Education Officer, Dimapur. The essay competition was held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ under the initiative of the Raj Bhavan. 

Judges for Mokokchung Town’s Best Maintained Ward Award for the year 2021 visited and inspected all the 18 Wards under its municipality on December 14. The judges comprising of members from the Mokokchung District Administration, Mokokchung Municipal Council, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sachh Bharat Mission district ambassadors visited and inspected all the 18 wards.

A talent show billed as ‘Phekmi Got Talent’ will take place on December 24 at Phek Village Local Ground. The winner will win a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 while the 2nd and third position holders will receive Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively. The panel of judges will include Imlibenlawati Nienu, Dzüthovolü Keyho, Künüsahü Vero, Zavekho Vero and Veshe Chizo.
