MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today stressed on the need to focus on revolution of educational system; starting with abolishing proxy teachers in rural areas of the state. Speaking at the 53rd general session-cum- inauguration of Kutsapo Students’ Union office building at Kutsapo village under Phek District, Azo said that human resources development is prime factor for the progress of the society, for which strong intellectual mindset is the need of the hour today. Education alone cannot suffice neither government job. One needs to have a mindset of strong and realistic determination. One should have a determination to be an employer and not an employee,” he said. Phek deputy commissioner Razouvolie Dozo also present on the occasion as the guest of honour.
In a bid to spread love this festive season, an Advent Christmas took place at Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) sponsored by His Little Ones (HLO), USA. Founder and Chairman of His Little Ones (HLO), Dr Andrei Duta, shared greetings to the KODH staff and children and maintained that these children are loved and have a destiny. Husezo Rhakho, Ph.D Scholar at Baylor University, US delivered Christmas message. The programme witnessed special presentations from KODH and Mülüzolü Nyekha while a special prayer for KOHD was offered by Brandon Quarles, Professor, Baylor Law School.

Koinonia Baptist Church held its annual free distribution of coffee, tea and sticky rice cookies distribution to Kohima-Wokha-Mokokchung bound travellers in National Highway near Koinonia Prayer Centre Tsiesema on December 20. It is an annual event of the church organised by the Youth and Jr CYE department in celebration of Christmas. Around 150 volunteers catered to more than 2100 travellers on the day. Deputy Chief Minister and BLP leader Y Patton reached out to the chairman, pastors and Catechists of Sungkha village and 13 adjoining villages in a pre-Christmas fellowship on December 21. Father's House Church, Chümoukedima held their Annual Christmas Worship Concert cum Lifetime Achievement Award 2021 on December 17. The Special Lifetime Achievement Award 2021 in selfless contribution, dedication and commitment to God was presented to Rev Rhyutsemo Ngullie, 83 years who had served as Pastor of Tsungiki Baptist Church for the last 56 years. The concert had singers and musicians namely Coronation Choir (Golden Crown College), Zayiechütuo Suohu Vebeizono, Avikonuo shuya, Tia Longkumer Yankee Dance Space, Ebenezer orphanage home, Aloke Yepthomi, Maria and Friends from Patkai College, Rapper Imli Lee, Zuchobeni Tungoe, Former VLCC Femina Miss India, Nagaland 2020, Senti Chang, Ronnie Odyuo and the Band amongst others. A Special Memoriam Certificate were Handed to the family Members of Lt Rev Dr Shiwoto Assumi, Noted Ambassador of Christ and Lt Teplok Amri of Changki Village, Social Worker and Visionary man.
