As part of the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination, a total of 3364 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till date, with a figure of 197 beneficiaries vaccinated within the week itself. The vaccination of citizens above 60 years and those citizens within the age group 45-59 years with co morbidity is ongoing and the citizens can avail the same at Immunization Room, District Hospital, IMDH, Mokokchung on three weekdays i.e. Monday to Wednesday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. First round of sensitization sessions for third phase COVID-19 vaccination roll out for the age appropriate groups of 60 years above and 45-59 years comorbid conditions ended today covering all the eleven wards in the HQ. The team led by Deputy Commissioner, Mon  Thavaseelan K (IAS), Dr Chenjei MO Phomching, Dr Penjei MO Shangnyu, and Dr Elizabeth MO SHP worked round the clock ensuring  maximum level of knowledge instilled to clear every doubts that citizens have over the vaccine. As the vaccinated percentage for age appropriate groups in Mon district turned to be quite low, the DC Mon urged the IEC Wing to get activated and cover every block with immense support for the people of Mon by disseminating right information and clearing every doubts and myths and misconception.
