Department of Industries and Commerce, Nagaland as part of their State-wide sensitization drive (Phase-I), conducted seminar and workshop on Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme at Mokokchung town and Akuluto, Zunheboto on May 8. With the support of RD-NSRLM, NULM-SUDA, NEIDA and DICs, various prospective individual entrepreneurs and groups like SHGs, FPOs, FPCs and co-operative societies from the respective districts participated in the programme. It was held with the aim to encourage potential entrepreneurs and groups to avail assistance under the scheme to up-grade their existing units and also set up new micro food processing enterprises. The Department will be covering different blocks of various districts during the Phase-I of the sensitization drive. 

 

The Northern Angami Students' Union (NASU), as part of its yearly plan, undertook a courtesy visit of the Government Offices within Chiephobozou Sub-division on May 8. The Union visited the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Office, Sub Divisional Education Office (SDEO) and few other Sub-divisional Offices. The team held interactions on various issues pertaining to the students in particular and the community at large. Meanwhile, the Union acknowledged all the employees of various offices within Chiephobozou Sub-division for their valuable services rendered towards the concern citizens, and further anticipates the same work culture in building the larger interest of the public.
