ICFAI University Nagaland organized a talk on ‘Geomatics Applications for Management in New Normal’ by Dr Jal Singh Parihar, Former Satish Dhawan, Distinguished Professor, outstanding scientist and Dy Director, Space Applications Centre, ISRO Ahmadabad and ‘Space Technology Applications for the Society: NESAC Perspective’ by Dr KK Sarma, Scientist- SG North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Department of Space, Meghalaya on November 30. The talk was followed by a cultural show where the students displayed the rich and diverse culture of Nagaland.

In preparation for the upcoming assembly election, BJP Mokokchung, President Imolemba Jamir appointed Tiarenla and Temjennungsang as secretaries,  Meyisenla as President of Mahila Morcha and Longsaakum Longkumer as president of Yuva (youth) morcha during an executive meeting held on November 30. On retirement of the Nagaland Public Service Commission, Chairman, Er TS Angami a farewell programme was held on November 30. Angami was the 17th Chairman of NPSC.

Department of Agriculture organized farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Jt Director of Agriculture, SK Khemprai in the conference hall of Directorate of Agriculture on November 30. Speech on behalf of the department of the retiring officer was delivered by Addl. Director of Agriculture. S Kivikhu Achumi. The outgoing Joint Director, SK Khemprai in his farewell speech stated the success of the department programme requires good coordination and identity the potential of each officer and staff, as everyone has hidden talent in each individual.

Dr Dipjyoti Rajkhowa, Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre was awarded the ISA Gold Medal, 2020 by Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi for his outstanding contribution in the field of Agronomy (farming system, weed science and climate change research) during the 5th International Agronomy Congress held at Pandit Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad from November23 to 27. Dr Rajkhowa is also the recipient of Fellow, Indian Society of Agronomy (2016), Fellow, Indian Society of Weed Science (2010) and Fellow, Indian Association of hill Farming (2017). His research works and outreach activities have brought substantial improvement in the agricultural and allied sector in North East India.

In view of Statehood Day on December 1 and also the Hornbill Festival, Amos Care Channel conducted a mass social work in Blue Hill Travel colony, Dimapur on November 30. 

State Bank of India, Chief General Manager of North East Circle, R S Ramesh presents a cheque amount of Rs10 lakh to Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio as sponsorship for Hornbill festival on November 30.
