A Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SWEEP) awareness programme was jointly organised by District Administration and higher secondary schools of Meluri on November 29. Students of Government Higher Secondary School, Christian Mission School and St Xavier Higher Secondary School marched and gathered at the main traffic point and held a brief programme wherein Principal, SXHSS, Father Tommy highlighted on the importance of votes and how electing the right leader can bring enormous change to society. The Phenshünyu Lowjvü Union celebrated Rengma Ngada Festival on November 27 at Phenshünyu village with General Secretary NDPP Nagaland Benjamin Lorin as Ngada Guest. The Ngada guest exhorted the gathering stating that while advancing with the modern civilization, one should not forget to treasure the rich cultural heritage which was passed on by their forefathers. The Ngada festival was celebrated in a grand manner with the cultural presentation of Phenshünyu Village, Khenyu Village and Rümesinyu Village.
