The Nagaland Garo Mothers Association (NGMA) has selected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2020-2025 in a meeting at Ekaranipathar village on October 28. The new team includes Atu Marak as President, Severina Sangma as Vice President, C Holika Sangma as General Secretary, Aruna Momin as Treasurer and Finance Secretary, Kalapana Sangma as Information Secretary and Fringible Sangma as Advisor along with 18 executive members from different Garo villages and units. Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted medical camp at Menchengle village of Mon District on October 27. The aim of medical camp was to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers especially the old, handicapped, orphaned people and the women who are unable to go to the hospital at far distances. In a resolve to jointly fight the pandemic, the locals were also encouraged to strictly abide by the COVID-19 protocols for own safety and their loved ones. Advisor, School Education, KT Sukhalu distributed solar street lamps to all the 13 sectors in Zunheboto Town and 17 villages under 35- Zunheboto A/C. NDPP Zunheboto region while acknowledging the initiative stated that the lamps were personally procured by the Advisor from the NRE department.

Vihangam Yoga Sansthan Dimapur in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Dimapur organized a blood donation camp to mark the birth anniversary of Vigyandeo Ji Maharaj on October 28. Altogether 24 volunteers donated blood on the occasion.
