ICFAI University Nagaland celebrated Pre-Christmas on December 3 with a programme hosted by Alemsunep Imsong. A Christmas message on ‘Recovering the meaning of Christmas through our Encounter with Christ’ was delivered by Akho Kuotsu, faculty in the department of Political Science. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor, IUN, teaching and non-teaching faculty members and the students and concluded with an informal session staged by the students through chorals and musical performances, followed by a bonfire.

Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung bid farewell to two laboratory assistants—Sentizungla and A Tia Pongen from the Department of Chemistry and Geography respectively, on December 2. The duo retired after 35 years of active service in the College. During the farewell programme, various members of the FAC including non-teaching staff amd the Principal-in-Charge and heads of departments lauded the two retirees for their sincere and dedicated services and contribution to the college. The SMB (U) Pay & Use Toilet, near 2K Hotel, 5-point junction, Officers Hill Colony, Kohima was inaugurated by Khrielakuo Sekhose, Chairperson of the Officers’ Hill (Thegabakha) Colony Council on December 1. In this regard, the OHCC informed that there will be no charges for the use of the facility by Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities and school children. It also acknowledged all the members present during the inaugural programme and urged upon all the residents to maintain the property properly and in a clean manner.
