Students and staff members of Class 8 of Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima visited Modern College, Piphema as part of their annual outing day. Kaikho Losii, Development Manager of the college along with student campus ambassadors welcomed and led the visitors to explore the Botanical Garden, sports and academic facilities of the college. After the visit, the students took time out to play sports and games. The visit concluded with refreshment and group photograph with the college administration team. 

The Department of History, MGM College organised a drama competition on the theme 'Reminiscing the Past' at the college auditorium on April 23. The programme was chaired by Madam Temjenzungla Aier, Assistant Professor, Department of History, while the welcome speech was delivered by Sir Fuchumo Yanthan, HoD, Department of History. Speaking on the theme, he encouraged the students to always remain connected to their roots while adapting to modernity. Rev Dr Fr Shibu Varghese, Principal, MGM college exhorted the students to preserve one's own unique culture and tradition. He also highlighted the importance of rekindling past history in light of today's society. The programme was followed by a drama competition among the three groups, in which Group 1 was declared the winner.
The Jan Shikshan Sansthan Kiphire held a 3-day staff workshop at Parental Organisation Janjati Shiksha Samiti Nagaland Office, Dimapur, from March 25-27. The tasks and responsibilities of the staffs were highlighted by Pankaj Sinha, Chairman of Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Kiphire and State Organizing Secretary of Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Nagaland. During the workshop, Dr Pawan Tiwari, Purvotar Kshetriya Sangathan Mantri; State President of Janjati Shiksha Samiti Abhijeet Sahoo; Aliba Sangtam, Therali Ezung and Walenniba Jamir, former President and Patron of Janjati Shiksha Samiti Nagaland interacted with the staffs and suggested inputs about the importance of skill development to empower the people of Kiphire district with more skills training.
