Two Training Associates from Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) Vekhenshe K and Maheni along with two students Longdichum and Pisala from Kiphire attended the two-day training of the trainers and children organised by PRATYeK at Auxillium Reach Out, Guwahati on June 26 and 27. The focus of the training was on Child Rights, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Children’s Parliament. Altogether 45 participants from five NE states representing 15 different organizations participated in the said training.


The Students’ Union of Aoyimkum, Dimapur organised a seminar on ‘Benefits of Development a Reading Habit’ at Panchayat Hall, Aoyimkum on June 29. The seminar powered by Readers Club Dimapur and Books on Wheels Social Enterprise, Aoyimkum with Dr Lanusangla Tzüdir, Publisher, Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur.


Peren Users Network in collaboration with Nagaland Users Network and TFA TI Project observed International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at TFA Drop in Centre at Jalukie Town. Azeu, Supervisor DAPCU Peren highlighted on the significance of the day and Aziku from OST Center Jalukie and Hailing Pame, Secretary Peren Users Network spoke on the occasion. International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed at Pfutsero Town, organized by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with Lightway Society Pfutsero on June 26 with the theme People First: Stop Stigma and Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention.’ A special guest Dr Vepfuhu Kezo, MO CHC Pfutsero, while speaking on the theme highlighted the consequences which lead to dependency and to addiction. He encouraged the clients not to stay idle but remain productive and useful. Anyile Khamo, DWO Phek encouraged them to have a strong will power to overcome bad habits that is affecting their normal life.
