C-Edge College organised a pre-observation programme for World Tourism Day 2026 at Manen Hall on September 25. The programme was held under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” to raise awareness among students about the importance of tourism, sustainability, and emerging opportunities in the sector. Lochumi N Shitio of Voyages Travels and Meyatemsu, Assistant Professor, Department of English, C-Edge College, were the resource persons. The speakers highlighted the changing dynamics of the tourism industry and the growing significance of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence in travel, tourism services, and destination promotion. The session also emphasised combining technological advancement with sustainable and responsible tourism practices.
Tsütuonuomia social work cum get-together was organized on September 26 in Kohima. MLA Dr.Tseilhoutuo Rhutso also joined the social work. The programme was organized by T. Khel Youth Organization in collaboration with Tsütuonuomia Khel Council, Kohima village.
The Dimapur District Pharmacists Union (DDPU), in collaboration with Nagaland Pharmacists Association (NPA), observed World Pharmacist Day 2026 on September 25 at the CMO Conference Hall, Dimapur. It was held under the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures,” with a special focus on “Strengthening Drug Safety and Quality through Effective Collaboration between Pharmacists and the Drugs Control Cell.” Lutovi Phucho, Assistant Drugs Controller, Drugs Control Cell, was the guest speaker. In a step towards strengthening community waste management infrastructure, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Dimapur Airport, donated a TATA Motors Tipper Truck to Darogapathar village under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme on September 23. The vehicle, to be used as a sanitation truck, was flagged off and handed over by MKS Bordoloi, Regional Executive Director (NER), AAI, to representatives of the Darogapathar Village Council. The ADC, Chümoukedima District, and the Airport Director, AAI, Dimapur Airport, were present. The Health Club of the ICFAI University Nagaland in collaboration with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an awareness programme on “Tuberculosis: Myths and Early Prevention” under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at its campus with expert Dr Sangpanger Longchar, Sr Medical Officer, District Tuberculosis Office, Dimapur who explained the basic concepts behind transmission and prevention of the disease. The programme was attended by the university's faculty and students.

The 1st NAP Battalion, Chümoukedima, organised an awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) on September 24 at Rhododendron Hall, NPOCM, Chümoukedima. Officials from the Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) briefed officers and staff on the policy framework, eligibility, documentation, benefits, empanelled hospitals, and financing mechanisms of both schemes. To commemorate the Foundation Day of National Service Scheme (NSS), the NSS Unit of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, organised a blood donation drive at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on September 24. Dr Avila Sangtam, MD, Transfusion Medicine, highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and explained its health benefits and safety measures. She informed volunteers that donors receive free health screenings, including haemoglobin testing, blood pressure monitoring, and screening for HIV-1 and HIV-2, syphilis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and malaria. She encouraged them to view blood donation as both a humanitarian service and an opportunity to monitor their own health. Er Shanchamo Yanthan, Programme Officer, NSS, appreciated the volunteers for their selfless and noble contribution.
The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Zunheboto, conducted a mass cleanliness drive at Lizu Naghuto View Point on September 26 as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign. PHED staff and members of the public participated in the drive. Lizu Naghuto View Point is one of Zunheboto town's main scenic areas, offering a panoramic view of the town and attracting both locals and tourists.
