The National Highway-702A stretch between Satakha and Kilomi has been fully reopened to regular traffic following the clearance of landslide debris that had blocked the highway for nearly a week on August 2. The road was affected by a major landslide triggered by continuous rainfall, with a large volume of mud, rocks and debris spilling onto the highway and disrupting vehicular movement. The Bima Company Limited, engaged by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), carried out clearance operations for more than a week to restore normal traffic movement along the affected stretch. According to officials, the debris has now been completely cleared and both heavy and light vehicles are able to ply the route normally.
