Under the banner of Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF), Nagaland today observed a statewide prayer in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Prayer has been our strength through this difficult time. It has helped us to face the unknown and the unseen,” said Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, general secretary Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).
Today the prayer was divided into two sloths. The morning prayer time 4:00-5:00 am was for pastors, deacons and church workers to pray for God's protection over our land, our towns, villages and families, Rev Dr Keyho told The Morung Express.
The evening prayer was family prayer time.
The families in Nagaland regardless of denomination and church affiliation response to prayers of thanksgiving, confession, for special needs, national leaders and policy makers, state leaders and policy makers, district administration, for the sick and COVID-19 patients, for the global community, bereaved families, frontline workers, farmers, for children who are outside the state, and for church leaders.
Meanwhile, the NJCF appealed to each denomination to prepare a chain of prayer for the church for the month of June.
