Nagaland: Online admissions made mandatory for schools

KOHIMA, MAY 31 (MExN): The School Education Department has issued several guidelines regarding the admission process for Class XI by all educational institutions in the State.


A notification from the department directed that admission forms must be made available for online download and submission. 


Class XI admission in all Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS) in Nagaland shall be   online. The process of online admission shall commence on 10th of June 2020. For Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS)   an online platform has been created by the School Education Department.  
The details of the online platform will be communicated to all Government Higher Secondary Schools and students, in a subsequent notification. 


All private institutions in the Nagaland should device mechanism for online admission for respective schools. The process of online admission should commence on 10th of June 2020.


All principals/ heads of GHSS and Private Institutions shall ensure that manual collection and submission of forms, offline mode of admission is not entertained to the extent possible as it will lead to assembling of students. In case of unavoidable circumstances, where offline admission is adopted for students who are unable to access the online facilities, social distancing, sanitization and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department should be strictly adhered to. 


School heads have been asked to furnish details of offline admission to the Department of School Education on a daily basis without fail to email id: dosenl.admission@gmail.com.    


Online payment/collection mode of admission fees should be made available to the applicants/ students by the principal/head of private institutions. In case of unavoidable manual payment/ collection of admission fees, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department should be strictly adhered to.


All Educational   Institutions / Schools (both private and government) are directed not to conduct any type of entrance examinations for admission to Class XI during the current year.
