Nagaland Pencak Silat contingent leaves for 1st Khelo India Beach Games

The Nagaland Pencak Silat contingent will participate in the1st Khelo India Beach Games 2025.

DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): A 15-member contingent of the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association has departed for Diu to participate in the inaugural Khelo India Beach Games 2025, scheduled to be held from May 19 to 24 at Ghoghla Beach.

The team is led by Association President Khevishe Sema and Head Coach Deep Kumar.

Organised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the national-level event marks Nagaland’s debut in the beach edition of the Khelo India Games.

The athletes representing Nagaland include Kevin, Kitenlo K Thono, Jon, Akivito Zhimo, Altab Uddin Choudhury, Liike Kibami, Dausanliu Rentta, Avikali V Sheqi, Hatneinem Khongsai, Hinokali, Nyia Thono, Edwina Lhinghoithem Hanghal and Alice D Chishi.

The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association expressed gratitude to SAI and to Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, for their support in facilitating the team’s participation.
