
PATNA, MARCH 24 (MExN): The Indian Sepaktakraw teams have secured four medals at the ongoing Sepaktakraw World Cup in Patna, Bihar, with Nagaland making its mark on the international stage.
Menenu Tsukru from Nagaland was part of the Indian women’s team that clinched a silver medal in the quad event and a bronze in the doubles event. The men’s team also secured two bronze medals in the quad and doubles events. Adding to Nagaland’s representation, Seyiekhrieno Tepa will compete in the women’s regu event on Day 5 of the tournament, further showcasing the state’s talent in the sport.
S. Keoshu Yimchunger, Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports (YRS), and Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of YRS Nagaland, attended the event as special invitees and awarded medals to the winning teams during the medal ceremony on Day 4.
