Kohima, October 31 (MExN): Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland V Shashank Shekhar, IAS held a state level meeting with political parties at the CEO Office chamber in connection with Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2023 as the qualifying date.
The meeting held on October 31 was also attended by CEOs office officers, Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Addl. Chief Electoral Officer, Awa Lorin, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, R Mhathung, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer and Alila Chang, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer.
The CEO Nagaland office in a press release stated that at the meeting, the CEO and his team apprised the political party members present about the Amendment of Election Laws, application of Forms 6,7,8 and new Form 6B relating to voluntary linking of Aadhar with EPIC where all the forms can be applied through online mode using the nvsp.in and voterportal.eci.gov.in as well as the mobile voter helpline App.
The members were also apprised on the appointment of Booth Level Agent (BLA) in every polling station. They were briefed about the four qualifying dates i.e., January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 for the Special Summary Revision 2022-2023. The draft E-Roll will be published on November 9.
