Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The Department of Power, Nagaland (DoPN) today clarified that the sanctioned amount from the Justice & Law Department to Power Department for external electrification works was only Rs 44.24 lakh, and not Rs 44.24 crore as reported in some section of media on October 14.
The amount was sanctioned for electrification and water supply works of the New High Court Complex, Meriema, currently under construction.
The external electrification were completed in full as per the technical specifications and scope of the sanction way back in the year 2011 and the payments were released accordingly, stated a press release from the Engineer-in-Chief, DoPN.
The matter has been examined by the Court and subsequently discharged in February 2022.
“All matters relating to electrification works at New High Court Complex, Meriema, by the Department, have been settled and the media report stands clarified,” it added.
