Kohima, October 23 (MExN): One-day orientation training on People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) 2022-23 for District Resources Persons on Gram Panchayat Development Plan was held at RD Conference Hall, Kohima on October 21.
The Publicity Cell of Rural Development in a press release mentioned that People’s Plan Campaign is an ongoing activity for GPDP which began on September 12 and will conclude on January 31, 2023.
Delivering the introductory speech, Jt Director and State Nodal Officer, K Neibou Sekhose highlighted on the importance of GPDP and mentioned that it is prepared through a participatory process involving all stake holders; matching people’s need and priorities with available resources. GPDP provides a vision of what the people would like their village to look like and set out clear goals to achieve that vision and give an action plan to reach those goals. Towards this, Sekhose called upon the district resource persons to tie up with the line departments in order to successfully and effectively carry out the campaign. He also stressed on the need to strictly monitor the guidelines provided by the ministry within the given time line. Presentations on PPP-GDDP and GPDP-Portal were presented by BDO, Jakhama Vilopi Angami and RDO, Imlisanen Aier respectively followed by a detailed discussion.
