Nagaland records 22 recoveries; all other cases asymptomatic

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): A positive case was recorded in Nagaland today and the total tally of COVID-19 infections now stands at 128, with 106 designated as active cases. 


However, there was encouraging news on the other hand with the state recording highest number of recoveries on Wednesday.


According to an official update, the state recorded a total of 12 recoveries in the last 24 hours upto 3:00 pm of June 10. 


Of the 12 recoveries, 4 were from Tuensang, 4 at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, and 4 in Dimapur. However, the 4 recoveries from Dimapur tested negative through Truenat. 


With this, there are now a total of 22 recoveries in the state.


Consequently, the total of active in the state stood at 106 on June 10. 


Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, in his daily briefing informed that all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. 


Stating that the 106 active cases are all asymptomatic, Sinha informed that a total of 223 samples have been tested by Truenat out of which 189 samples have tested negative and results of 34 samples are awaited.


Till date, a total of 4969 samples have been tested. Results of 3791 samples have been received and the rest are awaited. 


A total 6709 persons are presently under facility quarantine and 7879 persons under home quarantine, Sinha stated.
