Nagaland: Regional training camp on ASUSE 2022-2023 in Kohima

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The National Statistical Office, (Field Operations Division) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Regional Office Kohima conducted three-day regional training camp on Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE): 2022-2023 at the regional office premise in Kohima from September 19 to 21.

A press note received here stated that unincorporated sector is an integral part of Indian economy, which not only comprises of large number of establishments but also generates large number of employment in this sector. Besides, its contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country is also significant. Data to be collected in ASUSE 2022-23will help in meeting the requirements of different Ministries, Organisations and users in general. 

During the inaugural programme, considering the importance of data for better planning for decision makers, NSO Kohima official urged all the field officials/enumerators participating in the training program to be sincere, honest and capture the correct information from the households and establishments.

Maniraj Adhikari, Senior Statistical Officer, Sub-Regional Office, Tezpur and Happiness Khongjee, Senior Statistical Officer, Zonal Office Guwahati were the main resource persons during the Regional Training Camp.

On the first two days, theoretical trainings were imparted on concepts and definition, procedures, questionnaires and hands-on training on CAPI module developed for the ASUSE 2022-23 survey, which will be launched from October, 2022 and continue for a period a one year. On the third day, participants were given field practical exposure.
