Total recovery more than active cases
Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): Even as the state tally of COVID-19 positive cases reached 3583 on Thursday with 25 new cases reported, the number of recoveries surpassed the total number of active cases on August 20. The highest single-day recovery of 215 cases was reported in Nagaland, taking the total number of recovered cases to 1921, against the total active cases of 1,648. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,624 active cases are asymptomatic, 22 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate, he added. With the detection of 25 COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland on Thursday, the state’s tally of positive cases was 3,583 as on August 20. According to the daily briefing on COVID-19 by the Principal Secretary, Home, the distribution of cases was 1,567 among Armed Forces, 1,198 Returnees, 238 Frontline Workers and 580 Traced Contacts. Meanwhile, 7 deaths have been registered in the state till date.
