Nagaland: Salaries to be paid through e-Pay bill system from November

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Finance Department has been decided to introduce the payment of salaries and wages through e-Pay Bill System effective from November 2021, the state DIPR informed on Tuesday. 

The decision was based on comprehensive data on employees collected from all departments by the Personal Information Management System (PIMS) Cell, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department, the DIPR informed. 

“Effective from the month of November 2021, payment of salaries and wages under e- pay Bill will be enabled only for Government employees who have been registered in the PIMS database as notified by the P&AR Department vide their O.M No. AR-3/Gen-174/2007(pt) dated September 27, 2019,” it added.

Stating that trainings having been imparted to all DDOs and Bill Assistants on the functioning of the e-Pay Bill System, it said the remuneration payment for employees will be smooth and will also receive the necessary support and commitment from all concerned to make it succeed. Difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of the PIMS Cell, P&AR and Finance department, the DIPR stated.

All the Departments have been directed to strictly adhere to the procedures and guidelines issued by the Department for updating the employees' details/data in the PIMS portal, it added.
