Kohima, February 23 (MExN): The Government of India will be organising ‘The India Toy Fair 2021’ from February 27 to March 2 on a virtual platform in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a global hub for the toy industry.
According to a DIPR report, the main attractions of the India Toy Fair include a virtual exhibition, webinars by state governments, panel discussions/webinars on topics like toy-based learning, craft demonstration, competitions, quizzes, virtual tours, product launches, etc.
In this regard, all school heads have been requested to encourage school children, parents and teachers of their schools to register and visit the virtual India Toy Fair by virtually registering at https://theindiatoyfair.in/.
Further, schools have also been instructed to dedicate a few periods to take students through the virtual India Toy Fair 2021 and participate in craftwork, quiz, etc., and encourage teachers to attend webinars on toy pedagogy, toy-based education, etc.
Where internet live streaming is not available, schools may arrange for TV viewing on SwayamPrabhae Vidya channel where the events will be broadcast live.
Additionally, schools have been advised to take up toy-based group projects and link to Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat paired States/UTs.
Along with this, the DIPR report advised schools to make 1 to 2 minutes videos on how they use toys/games/puzzles/puppets/activities/board games/electronic games/etc., as a tool for learning in the classrooms, and post it on the following MyGov site: https://www.mygov.in/task/my-favorite-indian-toy-video-contest/?target=inapp&type=task&nid=300431
