Dimapur, March 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Science Centre, Department of Science & Technology commemorated National Science Day (NSD) on March 27 under the theme, ‘Future of Science, Technology & Innovation: Impacts on education, skill & work’.
Lorna's Higher Secondary School, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Namghar High School and AG Higher Secondary school from Dimapur participated in the event.
Richard Rikhio, Science Officer Department of Science and Technology emphasized on the importance of Science and Technology and how Science paves the way to innovation which ultimately becomes technology and how all these are essential for human development, social and economic progress. He also informed that the commemoration of NSD 2021 was delayed owing to the pandemic and other various reasons.
Er Kapil Thapa, Principal Kudatech Skill Centre spoke on the importance of local innovation and local skill development. Er I Victor Chang (local innovator) demonstrated few of his local innovations and interacted with the participating students.
T Wilson, Education Assistant, Innovation Hub demonstrated an experimental science show to the participants. The programme was chaired by Er Onongoto Soleho.
