Nagaland: Solar Street Light, Sulabh Public Toilet Complex inaugurated

Chümoukedima, November 28 (MExN): Advisor to the CM & Chairman, Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Abu Metha, virtually inaugurated the Solar Street Light at Sovima, Chümoukedima and Sulabh Public Toilet Complex at District Hospital, Dimapur. The virtual programme was held at Rhododendron Hall, Chümoukedima on November 28.

While addressing the inaugural function, a DIPR report stated that Abu Metha thanked the CSR, NABARD and HDFC for sponsoring the projects and implementing it. He appealed to the corporate friends to come forward to support and partner with the people of the state and assured transparency and diligent in any further CSR projects in the state.

The Advisor also assured the gathering that “such projects in future will reach to the people who needed it the most but reminded that whether big or small projects it may be, without the support of the leaders and villagers the projects won't be successful.”

IDAN also signed MoU with the SBI for Nagaland Tourism Connect Scheme, a ‘Premium taxi scheme’ where beneficiary gets 20% subsidies from the State Government. The Advisor encouraged the youths to avail the opportunities for tourist taxis especially during the Hornbill Festival where tourist taxis from outside the state reap the benefits of tourist visit in the state.

Short speeches were also delivered by Deputy Director DH&FW, ND Rajkhowa, Technical Advisor Sulabh International, Tiakala Ao GM NABARD, Lanuakum Jamir, Branch Head HDFC, Sebastian Zumvu VCC Sovima, and Setevikho Tsukru Chümoukedima village.

The programme was chaired by Reny Wilfred, IAS Joint Secretary, IDAN. Dedicatory prayer was said by Zhau Sanchu, Pastor CRC Sovima village and closing remark by I Changsang, NCS, Under Secretary IDAN.
