Nagaland tourism goes global

Nagaland tourism department today added another feather to its cap with the launching of its website www.tourismnagaland.com. “We are glad that our website has finally become reality. The whole world can see us now. Therefore, every information must be accurate ones and we can have no misinformation,” said Kaito Ayeh, parliamentary secretary, tourism and women development while launching the website at the Directorate of Tourism.

Ayeh also stressed on the need to give more efforts in exposing the tourism potentials. More researches in our histories and legends must be properly projected in the website, he added. “Now online booking will happen, be it Inner Line Permit (ILP), Restricted Area Permit (RAP), etc. which must be handled seriously. We must update the information continuously,” he said.

The Parliamentary Secretary added the website has enabled the department to communicate with the rest of the world. K.K Sema, IAS, commissioner and secretary, tourism termed the website as the best platform to expose outside the world “what we are and what to offer.” He also challenged the staff to gear up to the new challenges.

The website was designed by Rokohol Kulnu. The website will house photo gallery, festivals, events, district information, guide maps, entry to Nagaland, tourist hot spots, tourism potential, video clips, tour packages, department information, etc. The programme was chaired by V. Doulo, Tourist Officer, Kohima.
