Nagaland: Woman found dead in a paid QC in Dimapur

A 2-month pregnant woman died in a paid quarantine centre in Dimapur on July 22.

A reliable source informed The Morung Express that the person had arrived from Guwahati in the early hours of July 22. She was reportedly dropped till Dimapur by her husband, who returned back to Guwahati.

The deceased was 2 months pregnant and reported to be unwell when she checked into the paid quarantine centre  in Dimapur's MP Road.

The deceased is said to have called up some friends to inform them she was unwell. They, then, sought assistance from the medical team who arrived at the hotel around 5:00 am. 

The team knocked on the door of her room and called the person but received no response from inside.

On breaking the door open, they found that the person had "puked and died."

Post mortem is being conducted after which cause of death will be ascertained. COVID-19 test will also be conducted.

However an official said it is unlikely to be a COVID-19 related death.

The COVID-19  test and post mortem results could not be ascertained as the officials were not available for comment at the time of filing this report.
