Department organises online competitions
Kohima, May 25 (MExN): The Kohima Forest Division is organizing an online competition, in lieu of in-person programmes to celebrate World Environment Day which falls on June 5.
In a press release on Tuesday, Kohima Divisional Forest Officer Rajkumar M informed that “Due to the pandemic and lockdown, no in-person (physical) programs are being organized for the celebration.” However, in order to promote environmental conservation awareness among the public and in particular among the children, an Illustrations (Meme/Poster/Cartoon/Signage) competition on the topic ‘Environmental Conservation’ and an Oratorical competition (maximum 3-minute video) would be conducted on the topic ‘Innovative ideas for conservation in Nagaland.’
While the illustrations competition is open for all residents of the state, the oratorical competition is reserved only for school children in Nagaland. The DFO invited participants to send in their entries to kohimadfo@gmail.com on or before June 3.
