Dimapur , October 10 (MExN): A total of 61 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on Saturday pushing the tally to 6,949, while 33 patients recovered raising the number of recovery tally to 5,635, according to updates from the state health department.
At present, the state has 1,232 active cases. According to the daily bulletin issued by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), Kohima accounted for 43 new cases, followed by Dimapur at 12, Tuensang and Longleng districts at two each, and Mokokchung and Peren with one case each.
Among the recoveries, 27 were from Dimapur while six were from Kohima. As per the IDSP bulletin, out of the 1,232 active cases, 1,173 cases are said to be asymptomatic and 46 with mild symptoms. 11 other cases are moderate, one is severe symptomatic while one acive case is on ventilator. As of October 10, the State has also registered 23 deaths of which 12 are COVID-19 related while five have been categorised ‘not COVID related’ in the bulletin. Six deaths are currently under investigation while 59 cases have ‘migrated’ from the state, it said.
