Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): Nagaland registered 14 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s overall tally to 4,017. The new cases included three frontline workers, five armed forces personnel, four returnees and two traced contacts.

As per data from the State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) of the Health and Welfare Department, two of the frontline workers were from Kohima while the other was from Tuensang.

Among the armed forces personnel, three were from Dimapur and one each from Kohima and Mokokchung. While all four returnees were from Dimapur, the two traced contacts were from Kohima.

The State also reported 22 recovery cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,213. ses in the state, out of which 779 active cases are said to be ‘asymptomatic’ and six active cases are ‘mild.’
