KOHIMA, JUNE 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Assembly Secretariat Staff Association (NASSA) along with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) in its meeting held on June 23 decided to call off its month-long agitation with immediate effect. This decision was taken following the resignation tendered by Dr PJ Antony from the post of Principal Secretary, NLA on June 22. The NASSA/JAC, which began its agitation from June 3, in a press release today extended its gratitude to the NSF, ENSF, CANSSEA, NLSF, Ex-Parliamentarians, NSSA and “all right-thinking citizens of Nagaland for rendering their unflinching support.”
It further thanked the Parliamentary Committee for their “tireless efforts and wisdom in bringing an amicable solution to the issue,” along with the Chief Minister “for prioritizing and ensuring a fast track solution to the issue.” It further acknowledged all the senior officers and staff of the Assembly Secretariat and all well-wishers.
