Longleng, January 24 (MExN): The District Administration and MSK Longleng celebrated National Day of the Girl Child on January 24, at DC conference hall Longleng.
According to a DIPR report, Longleng CDPO Longlang Luckpan encouraged the women and girl children present at the programme, to participate and attend other BBBP events. He also highlighted about the services provided by Social Welfare Department for women and child health care.
Results for the ‘Grandmother - Granddaughter Photography competition’ were declared at the event wherein Apang bagged the first position, Putunungla came second and Akokla was placed in third position. The best school monitoring committee under BBBP was awarded to Christian High School Longleng. The winners were awarded with certificates and cash prizes according to the DIPR.
Earlier, introductory note was delivered by EAC HQ Rohbi Sangtam, pledge to enroll girls for education was led by Longleng Ambassador for Girl Child Doichong Phom and invocation by Yingliomei, Superintendent Children's Home PBCA, Longleng.
