Lotz calls upon people to a personal relationship with God

Sharing the word of God on the topic “One New humanity in Christ: Beyond the Social Barriers,” Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Billy and Ruth Graham today called upon people to a personal relationship with God through His word. “God is for me and you. God has purpose for all of us,” she told the congregation on day three of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) platinum jubilee here.
Lotz said God loves you. “God love you so much, so Jesus was given to you. God has work for Jesus to do and it is through Jesus that the personal relationship has been entered with God”. Stating that in Jesus there is no barrier and that everyone is welcome into the family of Christ, she said, no one can simply get to eternal heaven but through faith in Christ.
“Jesus has broken down all the barriers. Jesus has opened the door and invites you to have relationship with God”, Lotz said adding that the relationship is personal, permanent and a privilege.
She said personal relationship with God will never end, adding that the relationship will continue.
“Don’t miss the joy of knowing God”, she added and also prayed for those who are still outside to come inside to a personal relationship with God.
Bringing greetings from Thailand for a unique event of the celebration of 75 years of NBCC for their thanksgiving and in praising God, Rung Ruengsan-ajin, vice – moderator, Church of Christ in Thailand prayed to God to continue to bless NBCC for posterity, for strength of the Church, for the cause of the Church and the Church to be the peacemaker to the world.
He also stated that he was looking forward to work together more closely between the Church of Christ in Thailand and NBCC. He said the two churches developed the relationship for many years. There are some missionaries already in Thailand. Because of the long fellowship, he said “we as brother join you as good friend in Christ.” Ruengsan-ajin also looks forward to a collaborative mechanism between the two churches in order to serve God in better and fruitful way in this changing world.
The morning service began with praise and worship by Inside Story (Japan worship team), followed by spotlight on Patkai Christian College while United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimukhong (USBLA), Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Banjum (KBBB) and Zeme Baptist Church Council (ZBCC) took their turn for celebrating the association event. Jubilee Choir and Tsapila Anar entertained the congregation with songs.
Meanwhile, the four day long celebration will conclude on Sunday. Morning session will start from 9:00 AM onwards. Anne Graham Lotz will deliver a message on “One New Humanity in Christ: Celebrating the Power of the Holy Spirit.”
Greetings will be brought by Baptist World Alliance, Bonny Resu, regional secretary Asian Pacific Region of the WBA.
Children rally has been scheduled at 1:00 PM. Film festival, book fair, stalls and art & photo exhibition will continue.
Closing of the celebration will take place at 5:00 PM. Message will be delivered by Wallace Charles Smith on the topic “One New Humanity in Christ: The Finality in Christ.”
Later delivering a message on the theme “One New Humanity in Christ: The Church”, Reld Trulson said Church is the body of Jesus Christ and every indivudal is a part of the Church. He said all human beings are of ultimate value to God and Jesus’ love is for all, not just for the poor or rich. There is no ditinctions, Jesus loves all, Trulson said. The speaker urged the congregations to have the ability and to give time as giving time to listen to Him is the biggest achievement.
The programme also witnessed Thai Cultural Group and special number by the Platinum Choir, a play on “Elections a spiritual issues for Christians”, and LhouvIrielie Usou presented the song “This Little Child”.
Makato Kato, general secretary, Japan Baptist Convention and Makato Tanno, general secretary, Japan Baptist Union delivered greeting on the occassion. Makato Tanno, begged forgiveness to the congregation for the sufferings made by the Japanese Armies many decades ago.
More invitees from outside the state joined the celebration this evening.
