NBHM seminar on Beekeeeping

Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): A  two day State level seminar on Awareness, Motivational & Technology Transfer for Development of Beekeeping in Nagaland is organized by the Nagaland Beekeeping & Honey Mission (NBHM), sponsored by the National Bee Board (NBB), Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Govt. of India from March 9 and 10, 2011 at the North-East Agri Expo Site, 4th Mile, Dimapur, Nagaland.
A press note issued by Mhathung Yanthan, Mission Director & Team Leader, NBHM informed that P. Longon, Minister for Soil & Water Conservation and Land Resources, Nagaland; and H.K. Khulu, IAS, Agriculture Production Commissioner & Principal Secretary (Agriculture), government of Nagaland have kindly consented to be the chief guests at the inaugural and valedictory session respectively.
The Seminar will provide opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences and discuss various issues related to bees and beekeeping. Deliberation of the seminar is expected to evolve standard policy framework for improvement and overall development of beekeeping sector and honey enterprise in Nagaland.
Progressive Beekeepers, Bee enthusiasts, Bee Researchers and Scientists, Development Agencies/Departments, NGOs associated with honeybees and beekeeping are invited to participate in the seminar.
